Tonight is the yard site of the Arizal.

The Arizal was famous for his service to Hashem.

The Arizal was famous for many, many things.

Among them, the Rizal was famous for revealing the inner dimension of Torah, the Kabbalah of the Rizal.

And the Rizal is also famous for his particular personal manner of serving Hashem.

He served Hashem with incredible joy.

It is said that the reason he merited to have divine inspiration was because of the joy he had in doing mitzvahs.

It's customary to mention the Baal Shem Tov also on Matzei Shabbos.

It is said, the previous Shabbos said that the Baal Shem Tov was different to the Arizal, and that the Baal Shem Tov, he merited to have divine inspiration, not because of his joy in Mitzvot in general, but because of his joy in Avas Yisrael, and his joy of his love for the Jewish people.

The word Ari means lion, and the reason why the Arizal was given that name was because he toiled with incredible effort in the study of Torah.

Chaim Vital, his student, his main student, if you will, said that his master, the Arizal, would toil so hard in studying a passage of Talmud, he would discover all kinds of ways of analyzing every part of the Talmud, both from an exoteric perspective, from a Kabbalistic perspective, and he would sweat because of the toil he had in the study of Torah.

Rizal was also famous for his giving to Tzedakah.

he was not just very generous in general, but when it came to a mitzvah, he never discussed the price, whatever the price was, whether it was for an essig or for anything else.

He just gave very freely, very generously.

And with a mitzvah, there was no limitation.

So these qualities, his joy in the mitzvah, his exertion, and the effort in the mitzvah, and...

the revelation of the inner dimension of Torah is also all things that we are meant to learn from on the anniversary of his passing.
