Why is this? And why am I bringing this up in the context of the Tanya today, of today's episode? So something that we're going to be discussing today is the difference of getting to know somebody, whether it's a person or whether it is God, who is our ultimate relationship as a partner, as we've spoken about before, and and knowing them in a way that is visual, where you see them, and knowing them in a way that is more auditory, hearing them, listening to them, talking to them, that kind of thing.

And we know that in Kabbalah, in Hasidus, these two senses of seeing and hearing are actually associated with two different spheras, two different spiritual attributes, and two different specifically intellectual attributes.

These are the attributes of Chochmah and Binah.

So Chochmah, if you've been following along, is that attribute of intuition, of insight, kind of like that initial spark of knowledge.

And that's, that's the level of Netza Chodi Yisrael Malchus, which is why those levels are always associated with revelation and with coming down and being down here.

And they are the vessels which bring down this vitality from the higher place to the lower place in all worlds.

So this is something that these spheras, it's like, and this is where Kabbalah can get really confusing or Hasidus can get really confusing because this map of the spheras, it's like, it's all relative.

So it was just interesting insight so it's kind of like just like a little addendum to this epistle giving us again an understanding the purpose of it is to give us this understanding of what we mean when we talk about a vestige of wisdom that that's what moshe experienced that's what the torah is like what does this mean exactly so we can come to understand it through understanding the way that we relate to language so here we go so the altar begins this section today and he says that the letters that are uh that are revealed to us um have three aspects to them what are the three aspects of of letters there's the action of the letters the speech of the letters and the thought of the letters so the my step deeper and my says action deeper is speech and moshava is thought So you'll see throughout Hasidus, there's a very often things are broken down in this way in terms of like the action, the speech and the thought of the thing and what all of that means.

This is a very common categorization.

And so now to explain how this relates to letters and what that's about.

As it says, and this is a verse from, but this is a very important teaching in Torah, especially quoted in Hasidus again and again and again.

In all of your ways, you shall know God.

That's how great the Mitteler Rebbe's love for Torah was.

The Mitteler Rebbe was teaching his Hasidim to learn, understand, and explain Hasidus.

He was teaching them how to daven and serve Hashem.

It was an amazing time for Chabad Hasidus.

But then, there was one man whose evil plan threatened to change everything.

Who was this evil man, and what was he planning to do?

He says, I'm worried, I'm afraid.

Because that places a heavy yoke of learning Hasidus, etc.

He says to the Rebbe, I'm worried.

I'm afraid to become a Hasid because I don't know how I can take this yoke.

When you say the shema, that's when you're accepting already the yoke.

As the Mishnah says in Baruchas chapter 2, Mishnah 2, that you're accepting in the shema is the mitzvahs and shema is the malchal shemaim.

And the Rebbe said, the study of Hasidus is a part of the yoke of mitzvahs.

And the Rebbe says...

If you want to continue in the kolah, only basically if it's not going to become your habit and something that you are going to do.

The Rebbe says, I'm surprised though that you did not mention anything about addition in learning Hasidus for yourself and for others.

And the Rebbe says, because spreading the wellspring to the outside, that's the demand and the necessity of the hour.

The Rebbe blesses him for good news.

The Rebbe goes through, it may not be the bracha, it may not be in the Torah, but the benching is, and it comes from Yaakov Inu, and Yaakov Inu already said, ma'ayin yovei ezri, ezri mim Hashem, Hashem with salvation.
