One of the earlier guests in the life of ’***60 Minutes or less***’ (having appeared on episode 8), there’s been quite a bit of change for **Edkins** since then, notably power-trio **METZ** calling it a day in late 2024. With it being maybe a final chance to see them, It was a total joy to fly to Berlin to catch one of their farewell shows - a perfect send-off for three noise-rock heroes. With a new **Weird Nightmare** album on the horizon (‘***Hoopla***’ - out May 2026 via **Sub Pop** and **Dine Alone Records**), I caught up with **Alex** over **Zoom** in April 2026 to talk about the **METZ** “*indefinite hiatus*”, appearing on TV with **John Mulaney** and **Richard Kind**, British punks and **Weezer** hot takes.
