ZO’S LOOK CLUB | EPISODE ONE | OPENING

We have an entirely different type of show tonight.

It may not have started off that way because you guys are quite familiar with the voice of Jiddu Krishnamurti.

I've been talking about him for four years now.

But tonight's framework for the show is changing.

On Thursdays, I'm going to do something different.

I want to welcome everybody into Zoe's Look Club.

Not a book club, although we'll be talking about books tonight.

Zoe's Look Club is a look into my bookshelf, what I read.

The concepts and ideas that I have discovered that led me to my current way of seeing the world.

Zoe's Look Club is a book club that is focused on reading materials that cause us to be more reflective, to look within.

Zoe's Look Club.

We're going to be doing this every Thursday.

And we're going to highlight two authors per hour.

So it's only right that the inaugural Zoe's Look Club should start off with the great Krishnamurti.

I want to welcome you to my Look Club.

Books that I bring to your attention that cause you to look within.

Okay? Every Thursday, we're going to dissect books that line up with the conversations we already have here on this show.

That's why it's called A Look List and not a book list.

I want you to look inside.

I want you to get books from this list that causes you to examine yourself.

A lot of people read books from all types of authors.

Uh, some read it, uh, read them, you know, because they really love books.

Uh, I'm one of those people who like to hold books in my hand.

But some people read books not just for the journey books may take you on, but sometimes they read books just to sound deep, right? Knowledge sometimes becomes a shield against getting real.

See, if I can sound real, if I can sound learned, if I can sound educated, then I might not have to actually do the word, uh, uh, the work.
