For episode 6 Eric and Andy introduce Mike to the iconic thief Lupin the 3rd with Hayao Miyazaki's directorial debut The Castle of Cagliostro.
Back in the day when anime was first starting to kind of get popular over here in the U.S., DVD collecting became a very big thing as well.
And my brother worked at a Borders.
He bought me two.
Vampire Hunter D, which was an undisputed classic.
And he bought me this one I'd never seen before called The Castle of Cagliostro.
I had no idea what it was.
And I think it had a fake Spielberg quote on the cover.
It's still up for debate to this day.
One day after school, I got out early because they were doing one of those SAT prep things.
So it was really just exciting that I got to leave.
And I fell in love with this movie to where I had to show it to Eric and pretty much everyone I knew.
And before I knew it, that started my long-term obsession with Lupin III.
So Castle of Cagliostro.
