In today’s episode, we jump into the action in April 1945, as Soviet forces race towards Berlin and close the ring around the Nazi capital. Join us in Berlin in…
Matthias StrohnHostJesse AlexanderHostAll right, folks, just quickly, one special tangent on today's podcast, and we're having this special tangent because Matthias and I have a bit of a special project coming up in September, and we would love if you were a part of it.
From the 9th to the 13th of September, we are going to take a group of lucky people around Berlin to talk about the fighting in 1945 and analyze that part of the campaign.
Matthias, why don't you give us a bit of insight? What are we gonna be seeing? What are we gonna be doing in September?

Well, as you already said, Jesse, it's going to be focused on the Battle of Berlin in 1945.

We'll do a little bit of a build up to it, so we look at the Bebelplatz, for example, the book burning site.

And also, one day we're going to go out a little bit of the center of Berlin to go to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

And let's not forget, it is Berlin, after all, so there is so much you can do, so much you can see in addition to the nerdy history stuff that, of course, we both and all of our listeners love.

But there are other things like culture, shopping, all these things you can do once you're in Berlin.
If any of you are young or young at heart, I would emphasize that Berlin is the place to be.
