The Wizards lost to the Pelicans in Friday evenings final preseason game tune up before the regular season tips off on Wednesday. In a rather unfortunately last game highlighted by poor performances…
Cause I think I probably, our best person game was that first one.
And then we've kind of like downward spiral, not the, you know, preseason of preseason.
So I won't, you know, overreact too hard, but like this was, this was not an encouraging last performance before the, before the big show, you know, not, not a good performance.
And we had some, we had some, there's good moments too.
Don't get me wrong.
But like some of the stuff I saw today, like there's some concerning trends and like, this isn't like, a one game, you know, player shoots bad player stinks.
Like, no, this is like a prolonged four games of preseason.
Like we have some good data about like some, some of the stuff that I saw tonight and like some shit, man, it was, it wasn't pretty.
It wasn't pretty.
It wasn't pretty.
I'll start, you know, I got to do my little box score run through.
I'll start with AJ.
I kind of said it just now, but, like, obviously it sucks he's hurt, twisted an ankle.
I thought he was playing good to this point, got to the line a couple times.
I think right before he got hurt, he got, like, made his, like, first, like, I think he was like a turnaround in the post, like middie, like two-point scoring in the half court, like wasn't in transition, like a good clean bucket for him.
And he was – like it looked like he was about to start getting going and then obviously twisted his ankle, which fucking blows.
But hopefully he's good.
I didn't think he was too bad today.
He had a really good block.
Like really just kept up with a lot of what I've been saying the last couple days.
Like his ancillary activity level, like getting on the glass, playing defense, you know, being – active in transition.
Like, a lot of that shit was good.
One for three from three tonight, made one, missed two others, but the fact that he keeps shooting them, like I said, you know, I just hope he plays next game.
Nothing, he only played 15 minutes tonight, so nothing really to report there.
How should I start? Should I start positive or should I start negative? I'll start positive.
