The Warriors' Incomplete Roster1:01 – 9:09

1:01

Now, I gotta say, I'm frustrated.

1:04

And I'm frustrated because we finally saw the Warriors round out their roster.

1:09

And I gotta admit, it's even worse than last year, fully healthy.

1:14

I mean, there are so many holes in this roster, you might as well call the Warriors the Golden State Swiss Chiefs.

1:23

Because they didn't address any of their issues going into this offseason.

1:27

And we knew that that yes, it was going to be a gap year, but again, you have to address issues to make the gap year feasible and at least worthwhile.

1:43

You can't just say, oh, we are literally just punting this season and not caring about making the playoffs.

1:53

You're basically saying you're tanking.

1:55

And in a gap year situation, You're supposed to at least make improvements.

1:58

Yes, they are focusing on developing their own core, but looking at this roster, I'm looking at it.

2:06

Their full starting lineup is Steph Curry, Brandon Pajemski, Jimmy Butler, When Fully Healthy, Draymond Green, and Kristaps Porzingis.

2:14

Now, looking at it, you look at Jimmy Butler.

2:19

He's gone until at the earliest Christmas Day game, which... which would be a fun debut for him if he just completely goes off on the Christmas Day games because a lot of the times that's when people start paying attention to those games.

2:35

And the same goes for Moses Moody and D'Anthony Melton.

2:39

Melton is healthy, but you don't know how many games he's going to play.

2:42

And Moses Moody isn't coming back until at least December.

2:46

So there are a lot of holes.

2:47

You've got two guys right there that aren't playing.

2:50

You may have a full 15-man roster.

2:52

But you're only working with 13 guys.

2:55

Now you add on Georges Niang as well as Brandon Williams.

2:59

Brandon Williams, yes, he is a good backup for Steph Curry.

3:04

But you're still going to need a little more than that.

3:07

And I'm just not fully convinced that Brandon Williams can be that guy in that second unit.

3:12

I think Pajemski should be backing up Steph Curry and be that spark plug off the bench.
