As always, thank you for hanging out and remembering the victims of the Aurora Colorado Dark Knight Rises mass movie theatre shooting with me today. On July 20, 2012, 24-year-old James Eagan Holmes…
As he got older, in high school, for example, he seemed mostly fine.
He was shy, but not a complete loner.
He did have friends, and I don't think he had many girlfriends, likely due to his shyness.
He graduated from the Westview High School in the Torrey Highlands community of San Diego in 2006.
After graduation in 2006, James took an internship at the Salk Institute of Biological Studies in La Jolla, California, which is about 20 minutes away, driving from San Diego.
And while there, he was assigned to write computer codes for an experiment.

He stuck to himself.
And he was overall unnotable to those who knew him at that time.

A lot of people are that way.
It's just when you look at this case as a whole, knowing what he goes on to do, these are little things about him that could have been, you know...
After that internship, James went on to enroll in college, and he did so at the University of Riverside.
And it was during this time that he also got a job as a summer camp counselor in Glendale, California, which is pretty close to actually where I live now.
It seems like this guy just kicked it around my neck of the woods before he went to Colorado, truly.
And it's weird.
I was just thinking about this.
I didn't think about it until right this second.
