And there's climate-related events going all week, but I did a workshop last, uh, last night, yesterday, as of this recording, Sunday, with a group of climate scientists, climate science students, comedians, and people who work kind of in both fields.

And we did a five-hour climate comedy communications workshop in collaboration with CU Boulder and their Inside the Greenhouse program, Generation180, and this really cool, um, arts/political group called Hip Hop Caucus, who do a lot of art around political engagement.

And we all united to teach this group of people to run a workshop on how to write comedy about issues surrounding the climate crisis, if not the climate specifically, uh, in ways that people will be receptive to because, you know, you won't be shocked to learn this from me, I am a believer in actual direct action and that that's the most important, uh, form of making change.

But I am also a believer in altering the media environment and that comedy specifically has a strong power to highlight hypocrisy and call things like that out, that it has the power of being enjoyable and consumable.

And so it was really cool to watch these people with real lived experience fighting the climate crisis come together and make genuinely funny comedy about it.

And we're, we'll certainly be doing more.

If you're interested in anything that we're doing or these kinds of programs or just learning about how these things are taught, uh, the program I most commonly work with is Inside the Greenhouse at CU Boulder, and they do all sorts of great work around this, creating art and other cultural artifacts sl- uh, surrounding the climate crisis.

So, so happy I have that opportunity, really reaffirming, and I'm so impressed with all of the participants, and that is the actual least worst part of my week, although I am still excited about the cat.

Uh, countless AI video generators have since taken Sora's place.

"It is not common practice right now to consent to an AI avatar of yourself as part of your living will," said Jack Manning, a University of Colorado Boulder graduate student who studies what academics Meredith Ringle Morris and Jed R. Brubaker call generative ghosts, or AI-generated characters based on loved ones.

I predict that will be something that comes up.

Uh, Manning, who is 25, lost his sister when she was 13 years old, and before the advent of generative AI, his family struggled to find ways to honor her, often fundraising for causes that were important to her.

But it's still located in the desert, right? So you want to find some solutions that are closer by or cheaper.

And the challenge, again, is that sand and gravel are still so cheap that starting to think about alternatives, there's some work done at University of Colorado that looks into using algae, which, again, is something that's interesting, but Given the amount of sand we need, we need, in my opinion, we need to think beyond invention.

We need to think about recycling.

And this is especially, again, I want to come back to these regional differences because the growing population in Africa, you haven't even built these...

It was ugly.

It was ugly for CU against Northwestern.

only computer for the entire week with 64 gigs of storage, one USB port, and it was throttling all the time.

That's why, getting back to what led us down this path to begin with, sometimes it's, maybe maybe buying a duo is not an irra irrational decision maybe it's more helpful to refer to it as an emotional decision where there are always going to be people who feel as though i feel as though i feel well let me finish that uh this is this is this this duo is going to be very very suitable for my needs i've got the money for it i don't think it's going to fail me i don't think i'll be disappointed in it it might not be perfect for the first go and but at the point there's a point which you're willing to say i just like it i'm interested in it it it doesn't it's not just simply a shiny shiny like reptile brain sort of reaction it is i feel as though i'm going to have i'm going to enjoy every time i take this out of my pocket and feel that snap when i when i open it and that click when i close it i'm going to enjoy that that's not having being influenced somewhat by emotion when you make a make a purchase uh it should not be the only reason why you buy something that's not a negative reason at all and that's one of the satisfactions i would say a genuine satisfaction that apple delivers that there is something about the apple watch that is just a very satisfying object in the way that the first android wear watches they were fine i preferred the round dials but they weren't that sort of Boy, this feels like a piece of jewelry.
