So, you know, I was thinking, you know, we, we got Stacie Greenwell on the podcast today, and I was thinking about this, this thing that happened.

Um, we shot in Puerto Rico for three weeks, and I remember being there and having this conversation with myself because, you know, when you're an actor and you're working, there's always this little thing in the back of your head that's like, "Okay, how do I turn this into the next thing?" You know, "How do I parlay this into more work?" It's what we're always thinking.

You're like, "Who do I need to meet? What's gon- what, what's gonna happen after this?" It's really, really, really a thing.

And I remember, remember telling myself, "No, Djuan, you're not gonna do that.

I mean, you're doing what you said you wanted to do." So I was like, "Enjoy it.

And when it's over, then, you know, you can worry about the next thing." And, and that's what I did.

And I actually think that was really good advice for young Djuan, because I, I, I shot this almost, like, 2008, I think it was.

I don't think I believe that anymore, or, or I don't think it has to be one or the other anymore, is probably what I wanna say better.

You know, I can love the work, I can enjoy my trailer a- and craft services, and meeting the crew, and walking around on the beach, and all that stuff like that we were doing, and I can also be thinking, "Okay, what's next?" You know? Because that part of being a, a working actor that I, I don't know that we talk about enough is the stop and starting.
