I will never gamble against my teams.

In fact, I will never even do an NCAA tournament bracket unless UF is predicted to win the whole thing.

Because if I have to put them as a loss, I refuse to do it.

So you will not get me gambling on this.

What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to this Monday edition of Texans All Access.

From the Hyundai Texans Radio Studio, I'm John Harris, and it's time to catch up with our good friend ND Kalu, which by the way, his son now plays at the University of Florida, and that's helpful for a little later in this conversation with our good friend ND Kalu.

ND, how you doing?

Who's that? Aaron Filo? I don't know.

Maybe UF.

Ole Miss, that was their Super Bowl.

It's the lockdown game.

So she was very instrumental in support and helped us get there as a family.

So that was really appreciative and Then the overwhelming part of it was just the attention you get going with the Sweet 16, Dunk City, and trying to focus on not only trying to win the next game in the Sweet 16, but then after you lose, we lost to University of Florida here in Dallas at Cowboy Stadium, to move on to USC, to Los Angeles, the City of the Bright Lights.

That was a very challenging time because USC...

We were last place in the Pac-12 our first two years there.

It's a good 30 for 30.

It's about Steve Spurrier's First year at the University of Florida, but more importantly, it is about five murdered Florida co-eds, four women, one man, all young.

in the first three days, three days back to back to back.

They're murdered within three days of each other.

And I'd like to talk about this more in depth, but I wanted to give people a little chance to watch it.

It combines football and this absolute awful 14 days in Gainesville because I covered these murders extensively.

The killing sent a shockwave here through the University of Florida campus.

You know, it really makes me fear for my life.

Cause that's just like the way that God and my parents and the stars aligned for myself, which if anyone knows anything about track and field, the 800 is probably one of the toughest races to do, if not the toughest.

So, you know, I ended up doing that race and eventually was really good at it and got a scholarship to the University of Florida.

And the rest is history.

I got down there, raced for two years for them as a scholar athlete.

But within injury, you always want to look at the glass of half full.

So for me, I realized what I learned along the way from the great coaches, the PTs that I worked with and, you know, the whole staff and really being at an elite program to see how elite athletes train across all the, all sports.

Cause when you're at a university of Florida, you're exposed to all the different sports, both men's and women's sports.

Um, you're, you're in the same training facility, the same rehab facility is getting worked on or whatever, you know, um, going to the cold tank after practices and that sort of a thing.

But I'm not saying Summerall is going to have a better career at Florida than Kiffin is at LSU.

But to me, the fit with Summerall at UF, it's just going swimmingly, man.

Everything in the offseason to bring all those guys back.

The higher of the offseason to bring Faulkner in and then bringing Philo in.
