I'm a retired history professor and senior fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview.
I also write and teach and do a variety of other things like Tom, although I don't actually do them like Tom does, but that's another matter.
Anyway, today I want to talk about something that I became aware of from an article from the Colson Center, actually.
And I'll just read the first paragraph or so out of this, and I think that will set the stage for what we want to do.
A group of scientists are once again predicting imminent disaster because of overpopulation.
Quote, it might sound like the plan, the evil plan of a nefarious villain, a recent Daily Mail article read, but scientists now say we need to have Earth's population to save the planet.
The researchers have even offered, quote, non-coercive measures to lower the global population to 4 billion by the year 2200.
Of course, that includes, quote, providing women in low-income countries with family planning services.
Their plan, according to the Daily Mail, is similar to that of Marvel villain Thanos, who thought he would eliminate suffering by eliminating half the human race.
