There's so much buzz about the upcoming Venus retrograde, but the truth is we are already in the Venus retrograde season.

Venus will officially go retrograde on the 3rd of October, but it was back on the 31st of August that Venus stepped into shadow.

And what that means is Venus is right now already on the path that she will eventually travel backwards on during her retrograde.

And then the 13th of November, she will go direct and make her final pass, a third and final round over the same sidewalk in the sky, wrapping up the larger season.

It's not just about the retrograde, but the shadows that I think in some cases might be even more important.

because it is the shadow periods that show you what the larger themes for you as part of your own individual journey are likely to contain.

So a big theme of this Venus retrograde season is how it is involving two signs.

And both signs have a connection to understanding partnership and love.

It is Venus that has been in the sign of Libra earlier in the month of September while in shadow.

And Libra is about partnership and sharing.

It's the one on one give and take with another person.

But it was last week.

that Venus stepped into the sign of Scorpio.

And Scorpio is another one of those love signs, meaning it holds an energy that has to do with how we connect to other people.

But here we get to deeper layers of trust, power, bonding, and where it is that there might be a sense of needing to go to deeper levels of vulnerability where we are safe to do so where we are not But Venus isn't just about love.

Venus is also about if there is love here that is not just romantic.

When we think about love, we think about the romance and especially with Venus in Libra and Scorpio.

We think about what it is to connect with another and then bond that much more deeply, what intimacy is going to mean.

But really, Venus asks, is there love here? Do I love this person, place, thing or situation? That is always the question with Venus retrograde season.

And the truth is Venus is in shadow.

just when we think we know, well, Venus will go retrograde and we might see things differently, we might understand things differently.

But it's not just that.

Things don't really become clear until after Venus goes direct, mid-November, moving forward, wrapping up the shadow season as we step into December.
