The Strength In Numbers Podcast with G. Elliott Morris
May 14, 2026 · 48 min · 10 segments
On this week’s *Strength In Numbers* podcast — the last live episode before Elliott heads off on paternity leave — Elliott and David break down just how historically unpopular Donald Trump has become…
David NeerHostSo, David, let's just say something straight up, David, for the first segment here.
Okay, maybe you are thinking as you're listening to this, well, Elliot, 37.6% of the population likes Trump.
If you're walking down the street, around one out of every three or between three out of every ten and four out of every ten Americans... like the guy, and between six and seven out of 10 Americans, the rest of them don't.
The numbers are even lower for the number of people you will encounter, the percent of Americans who disapprove of his handling of certain policies, which we will get into, especially on prices.
But I do want to say, like in our last podcast before I leave for the summer, Um, nobody likes this president and that has consequences for democracy and for media.
And also it's like a pretty big change from how people were talking about this president a year and change ago.
I'm going to share these graphs for people who are watching us rather than just listening to us.
But when we are back, you should catch us live because you get to see graphs.

But you can also catch up by watching the video version if you actually go to the Strength in Numbers sub stack and not just listen on Apple
And you can watch all of the archived episodes as well if you're like a true sicko.

Like it's like watching reruns over the summer break, you know, like an old school TV show,
No one's really said anything, but I will just, I guess I'm lampshading myself somewhat here.
