I have been looking forward to this conversation for the last couple of weeks, especially as I've had an opportunity to dig into an upcoming project that is now released at the time of this interview coming out.

I've been getting excited too, just because of your idea for the format of this.

I think that's such a, I don't want to use the term novel concept because novel can cheapen it, I think, but like intriguing to somebody like me who, you know, often doesn't have such unique concepts and formats given for interviews.

Well, the first time we hung out and I had you on the podcast, we talked about lament.

We talked about writing music unto the Lord that isn't neat music that you just kind of put a bow on, but is music that digs deep into themes that we find in books of the scriptures like Lamentations and otherwise.

So for some people listening, it may have felt like a bit of a weeds conversation.

So why would we switch it up? Because today what we're going to do is we're going to talk about this new album that you've released.

But for our listeners that may not be familiar yet with Joshua Leventhal, why don't you tell us a little bit about your music journey and specifically this project that we are talking about today?

Yeah, so I've been writing songs since my teens, and I wasn't really musical until my teens, but I don't remember not knowing Jesus.

And so I've always considered myself a disciple first, everything else second.

But I started writing music in my teens, not seriously, just kind of as I felt and when expression, that kind of thing.

And then after high school, kind of in my post-secondary, got more serious about songwriting, felt called to worship ministry.
