I started to have a real physical stress response to anyone talking to me about anything spiritual, shamanic or psychic outside of my work hours.

And I realized then it had fully taken on a negative Pavlovian connotation for me in recent months, just because I'm in a life protracted life crisis.

great movie you know with Russell Crowe and Al Pacino about the guy working at the cigarette company whistleblower and 60 minutes it the kind of thing I'm in kind of just it can destroy your fucking life actually like financially relationships etc.

It's just like if you're used to always getting in the solution all the time and like, it's fine, I'm just going to do it.

And then you have a big and hairy enough monster, a kraken or a cyclops or, you know, something Billy would fight.

Instead of expecting other people to listen to my words, because we're past that socially.

We're just ships passing in the night, kind of masturbating online and thinking everyone else is seeing it or listening to it or observing it.

And people, I think one of the great diabolical purposes in the design of social media, right, going back to the purpose of a system is what it does, is to give the people impression that they're having influence, they're doing something, and they are part of the solution when they're just typing into the void, literally, or videoing into the void.

It's why I reacted the way I did the other day, and I wrote that post about parasocial dynamics in the business of Woo.
