On this episode of **The Right Time with Bomani Jones**, Bomani opens with the serious news about Jalen Hurts' blood clots and the uncertainty surrounding his football future. With the Eagles facing…
As we are recording, we just got the news that, um, Jalen Hurts will be out for the season.
Um, we knew last week, they c- they ha- he had what they called a superficial blood clot, which honestly I had never heard of before.
But it was like a superficial vein thrombosis, which is not the same as the deep vein thrombosis, which quite honestly was the only one that I had heard of.
The Eagles put out a statement, and to be clear, his agent also sent the statement, so I'm assuming that all of it is true.
But that he gets over there, he's diagnosed with the superficial blood clot, which they saw as not really being that big of a deal, and then they found out that it's the deep one.
And the issue, the issue is a little less about the blood clots themselves than it is about the fact that you have to go on blood thinners.
And that once you go on blood thinners, you can't play because your blood is thin and people be hitting you, right? This is what ended Chris Bosh's career is the fact that he had to be on blood thinners, and that's just basketball.
Anyway, they have now found that these blood clots are in Hurts' lungs and honestly, this gets us to the place where this ain't even really about analysis as much as it is Ts and Ps, you know what I mean? Like, I hope he's ultimately okay, whatever okay happens to mean.
But if he winds up having to live a life that means being on blood thinners, then he's just not going to be playing football, um, anymore.
Yeah, it, it's tough because it's obviously the biggest news of the day, but also, like, we're going off, you know, his agent's statement and Adam Schefter's tweet at this point.
