Heather Holst-KnudsenHostWell, I guess my first question, just so the audience knows who we're talking with today, is tell us a little bit about yourself and 1440, so the audience has some context.

Yeah, so on the personal side, I've always been a really curious person and I've always been entrepreneurial at heart.

So when I was smaller, I had like a soda pop stand at the bottom of my parents' driveway.

I had like a CD burning business, which may or may not have been legal at the time.

But while I was in there, I always had the dream of being an entrepreneur one day.

So I was kind of tinkering with starting companies and I took the finance route because I knew that if you want to build an iconic company, what better way, what better training is there than going to see how like the best companies in the world are built.

And I kind of had this fork in the road, stay in the private equity world or go follow your dreams and build your entrepreneurial vision.

And it was a tough decision, frankly, at the time, right? Because private equity is a really great industry to be in.

But I kind of thought about it quite a bit and said, you know, you've always wanted to do this.

If you're not going to do it now, you've been on boards, you've seen companies scale.

When are you going to do it? So I decided to take the plunge and start the entrepreneurial journey.

And at the time, our pain point, which still exists today, was Drew is my co-founder.

He's a PhD scientist that worked on Capitol Hill who used to distill really complex documents for people on Capitol Hill.
