We're going to start today's show with Kanye West just broke a record at his concert in Istanbul, Turkey.
He drew a record attendance of 118,000 people, making it one of the largest stadium shows ever.
Reports mentioned that he made $44 million off ticket revenue alone.
Nearly $100 million total contribution to Istanbul's economy, including the concert revenue plus visitor spending.
This encompasses the hotels, the tourism, food, beverages, plus all of the travel into Turkey for the show.
He also did this two years ago in China when he made $80 million in one day off of one show.
And I think Kanye is one of the only artists in the
world that could do this.
So I completely agree that he's the only artist that I think could do this consistently.
And I think the only reason he's able to do something like this, it's the mystery of Kanye West.
Because so many of his international shows have gotten shut down by the government.
When he does actually have a show, people are like, oh fuck, I have to go see him because it may never happen again.
So that mystery of Kanye always plays into like ticket sales like this.
Hats off to Kanye.
I'm happy to see him making this much money for shows.
That just shows how dumb people are and how petty people are to be like, we won't let Kanye West perform in our country because we're higher up people.
I don't know what the fuck the reason is.
Kanye does not incite violence.
Even when he said crazy remarks, he's not inciting violence onto people.
And his shows are just a good time.
It's all love.
I really don't get it.
And just to see how much money pours in when you do this.
