Greg Norman on LIV, Money & His Business Empire

but the legacy in perpetuity.

Where would that have been? Where would the Olympics have been for you, you know, between majors and everything that you've played in? Like, where would the Olympics rank for you? I

would put it number five.

I'd put it in the top four

for

sure.

I can just tell you, Seve Ballesteros and myself, most people probably listening to this show probably don't know who Seve Ballesteros was, but he was one of the greatest Spanish golfers of all time.

And he was my hero.

And we always competed against each other and with Balot.

against each other about number one in the board.

So one of us was always number one somewhere along the way.

And we became very, very close friends, even though we were very much combatants in the first team into the 18th Greenberg.

We worked with each other.

He worked with my short game, and I worked with his driver.

But the point where I'm going in here, he's the one who came to me and said, Greg, we've got to get Wolf in the Olympics.

In the 80s.

Yeah, in the mid to late 80s.

And he said, we've got to get golf in the Olympics.

He said,

are

you

with me? I said, 100%, I'd love to play for my country in the Olympics.

And we couldn't.

So what he did was he went to Sam Ranch, who was the president of the IOC at that time.
