Elliot Anderson: A Meteoric Rise

Hello and welcome back to the latest episode of the official Manchester City podcast.

And I have to say, what an episode we have in store today.

To my left, for the first time, the duo for the first time, me and Holly Percival.

And of course, joined by new summer signing, Elliot Anderson.

Elliot, how are you today? How are you feeling now, being here at City? I'm

good, yeah.

Really excited, obviously, to get going.

Big win the other day on the first game of the season.

So that was a good start.

And yeah, just looking forward to building with this team.

Yeah, absolutely.

So yeah, we'll jump straight in really.

So yeah, how have you found being at City from, it must have been quite a whirlwind of a summer, of course, the World Cup and then coming straight to here to City.

So just how has the summer really been for you?

Yeah, no, it's been amazing.

Obviously, I've had a lot on.

The World Cup was a really enjoyable experience for me.

Obviously, we just fell slightly short, but it was a great experience.

I really enjoyed it and had a few weeks off and then came straight in here and preparing for the new season with the lads.

And when you sort of found out about City's interest, who was maybe the first person you called? Do you go to family? Do you go to people here at the club to find out a little bit more? How does that sort of process work for you?

No, just speak to my family really.

I sort of made my mum and dad aware of it at the time.

I just had a chat about it and obviously I still had maybe a few games of the season to go, so the full focus was on Nottingham Forest at the time, but I was really excited to hopefully get it over the line and now that I'm here I can relax and do my stuff.

I don't know about you Holly but it does really feel like a new era here at City so obviously Elliot coming in how do you see this new season coming with City and obviously Elliot's in the mixers now as well

I think the key word I don't know if it's the same for you guys but in terms of midfield it is that word rebuild isn't it we've just announced Ayub as well, who'll be joining the midfield ranks.
