TinyHOST
71:29
[laughs] What, what you just heard was Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, England's own Tigers of Pan Tang and their new one, Dark Divinity, off of their 14th and new studio album, Electrified.
TinyHOST
71:41

Steve WraithHOST
58:18
So, Oasis, Whitley Bay, Ice Wing, supported by Ocean Colour Senior.
Steve WraithHOST
58:20
But that was a good gig.
Steve WraithHOST
58:21
I didn't see that one.
Neil RussellGUEST
73:44
I mean, it was, but again, I do have sympathies because there will have been so much get me the venue director on the phone right now or running around and Ryan will have been chasing after such and such and so and so and the referees will then get involved and the coaches will be having their input and there'll be a million and one voices but I don't think we can ever ever forget the people that are paying for the tickets that are sat there we have to have some and listen there was the odd communication around you know we apologize for today's delay you know ice maintenance or something along those lines but it was dragging on it was reasonably apparent pretty quickly i'm far from a nice expert or anything freaking like it but you could tell early doors the referees are looking at this and you're thinking there's not a chance here not a chance this is uh this is happening and saw some photographs that look like concrete concrete yeah
Patrick SmithHOST
74:38
come on we've played with lots of play to whitley bay it's fine If there's any team that can deal with dodgy ice, it's Manchester Storm.
Patrick SmithHOST
74:45
Let's be fair.
Patrick SmithHOST
74:46
Let's be fair.
Lawrie Hill JuniorHOST
3:20
Yeah.
Lawrie Hill JuniorHOST
3:21
We've, we've spoke about it before, about the, the teams that are sort of capable of beating one another, and you've obviously got sort of the top two in the Rockets and the Caps, and then Whitley Bay, Paisley, Kirkcaldy, and, and Aberdeen's in amongst that as well.
Lawrie Hill JuniorHOST
3:41
Yeah.
Lawrie Hill JuniorHOST
3:41
So, uh, yeah, first real test, but I must admit, it's a test that I would expect the Rockets to, to deal with, and probably I'd like to think deal with quite comfortably.
PhoebeHOST
21:30
best of luck it seems to have been well received in the UK and obviously you've been long listed for the McIlvany Prize and it's been very interesting listening to you talk but we're rapidly running out of time so I'll ask you the final question of the whole show which is there an independent bookshop or bookshops you'd like to recommend to listeners
Abir MukherjeeGUEST

Abir MukherjeeGUEST
22:20

good evening evening um okay right so how are they getting money from people who expect something so hardball when i looked him up he was worth about 18 billion He can walk off into the sunset in any country and do anything he wants, and he doesn't even need to worry.
JerryAUDIENCE
22:11
So if he can make $18 billion with UK crypto law as it is, and he's abroad already, why does he need a big change in the UK in order to do more? I don't follow that.
Michelle PercyGUEST
3:11
Actually, it's really interesting because I now live nearby where my mum used to holiday.
Michelle PercyGUEST
3:17
So my mum and dad, my dad was promoted in his publishing job and he was taking over the northeast region or the northern region and he said to my mum, "It looks like we're going to have to relocate." And she said, "Oh my goodness." And the Glasgow Fair, which a lot of northerners will remember as the Glasgow fortnight in the summer, all of the Glaswegians would descend to our coastal parts and my mum used to holiday in Whitley Bay and so they said, "That was a lovely place to holiday.
Michelle PercyGUEST
3:43
Let's move there." And that was more or less it and now I live near the caravan site in Whitley Bay near the lighthouse.
Michelle PercyGUEST
3:49
We still have lots of Glaswegians visiting, and often I hear them in the local shops and stop them to say, "Are you here on the Glasgow Fortnight?" They must think I'm completely bonkers, but-
Alison DunnHOST
3:58
Yeah
Les LangleyGUEST

You know the tennis club and you play for the rugby club and the Sunday morning sherry parties that your parents give.
Ian La FrenaisGUEST
