She definitely is because she added another half marathon to her portfolio yesterday in finishing her hometown half for the seventh time.

Some of those results were at the old out-of-town Northampton half marathon that locals might remember.

It's famed for the steepest of steep hills after seven miles and a route that took in the joys of an industrial park.

Others, including yesterday's, were at the shiny new Amazing Northampton Run, a race that goes past the town's sporting stadia, takes in heaps of history and features a truly Marmite set of rocky steps.

A big well done to everybody who completed that race yesterday.

But what every single Northampton half that Candy Stand has had in common is that she's finished towards the back of the field, battling health issues, including a hip injury, and more recently, some serious pulmonary problems that make breathing a challenge at the very best of times.

Along the way, she's raised thousands of pounds for various charities, including this year for the Lewis Foundation, which works to supply gift packs to cancer patients in hospital.

It's an absolutely superb charity, and I know Candy had a very personal reason for supporting them that you're here in this podcast.
