Meredith HambrockHostAnd Bree writes a lot of historical fiction and also brings, I would say more research.
I really find that I write a lot more from life and people have asked me before, like about research.
and i will say i don't research at all and then they act like i think i'm too good for it or something but in reality it's just not what inspires me to write something and so when i do end up researching something it's usually like halfway when i'm like oh no plot hole i have to like make something make sense
but I'm oftentimes writing from my own experience just because that is like the thing that inspires me to write.
But you, on the other hand, I feel like you have like a different relationship to research in your own work.

I think that like, well, especially, I will focus on historical fiction, but I will say like, I do do a bit of research for my thrillers.

And especially starting with, I want to say, Gretchen, the Gretchen White series where she is a sociopath.

And I decided like I wanted to make that authentic, as authentic as you can make it, because like people don't actually want to read about sociopaths in a series.

So that was actually really interesting because it's like one of the more famous sociopath books.

And you go to the comments or the reviews and they're like, well, she contradicted herself a bunch in the timeline.

But anyways, you get kind of researched through that, like how they view themselves and things like that.

I do not know any more about linguistics than I really knew before, but it's all gone.
