Venus Williams

Yeah.

And I'm like, so for me, like the, the, like, I don't really get, I get starstruck over like Venus Williams.

Or like a college, or like a fucking Roxanne

game.

So I'll go over, ring the doorbell.

Venus Williams answers the door.

Am I at the right place? And then, obviously, history of that.

But I was just like, I didn't know what to do.

Truly incredible.

It's interesting, you know, as you as you talk about that and then equated to entrepreneurship, because one of the people I interviewed last year was Rick Macy, who is a former coach of Serena Venus Williams and erotic Maria Sharapova.

And he said one of the biggest differentiators as to whether you're going to be a great tennis player or not is your ability to forget the last point.

Yeah.

Guess who's back playing tennis in Guangzhou?

Yes, Venus Williams.

I forgot

about that.

Totally.

This woman loves tennis.

If there was any doubt as to why Venus Williams plays tennis, it's because she loves it.

Because she is going to a 250 in Guangzhou in China to play doubles and singles.

500 draws in Vienna, Basel, Tokyo, Alcaraz and Djokovic in action.

Venus Williams is in Guangzhou as well.

But I'm excited, Chris, because...

Kim is back with us.

Djokovic is in Basel.

Rabakhin is in Tokyo with Osaka.

Venus Williams is out in Guangzhou.

Already in the quarterfinals, Kim, in the doubles.

hey guys welcome to another edition of the monday morning tennis rant let's start with the largest age discrepancy in the history of tennis which will take place in the first round of wta 250 in china between venus williams who's 46 years old and lily taga who is 18 years old that's a 28 year age difference and this brings up the question that was asked a lot this season how much longer will venus williams do this and i wonder whether she will finally break her losing streak because she's getting close to vince spadia who holds the record for 21 matches lost in a row.

I think that Lili Taga is gonna be the big favorite, but that's certainly gonna be a match to look out for this week.

But that's not the only thing that you need to look out for because Novak Djokovic took the wild card in Basel.

Elena Rybikina, Maja Kowalinska, and Diana Schneider will lead the lineup at the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo, which has experienced a late wave of high-profile withdrawals, including Iga Sviantek, Jessica Pegula, Elina Svitolina, and Marta Kostiuk.

Finally, Venus Williams is the biggest headline of the WTA 250 tournament in Guangzhou, as she has been awarded wildcards into both the singles and doubles main draws.
