And then once every week or two, I dump everything in that list into a document in Scrivener called content ideas.

And this is a permanent holding tank for potential email ideas.

So that is literally my system.

So, I mean, I from like a nitty gritty process perspective, I draft in Word, but I use Scrivener for research.

So I don't know if there's any.

I know, of course, you know, all you hosts are writers.

So Scrivener is a really useful tool for that.

I also have a lot of notebooks, especially at the beginning of the writing process when I was writing.

And I like it because it has this binder where you can just draft crappy thoughts and put a journal document and throw it over there, and I journaled every day about just stuff with being a mooch, 'cause I thought it was a funny concept.

And then the second thing was I went ahead and rearranged everything.

Because the nice thing about Scrivener is that Scrivener allows you to...

You know, you just have all your scenes to the left, so you can do...

How I do novels is that I have scene one, and you can, you can click on all those.

Like, imagine trying to find page 114.

It's impossible.

Or it takes, you spend so much time scrolling and looking and finding, et cetera, that it's, it's a pain, and that's the number one reason I do Scrivener, because I just break the novel into scenes and then I name that scene, you know? Scott types while Keith's talking.

But yes, I use Evernote to keep all of the, you know, documents together, you can tag that so that when you want to search again, you know, it comes up.

You can also search within Scrivener as well.

But once I have the research, I start, I'm quite disciplined, I guess it's my lawyer background.

In Scrivener, I set out kind of an outline of the chapters, and then I have a document that's the writing, but I also have a document which is the key salient points of that history that I want to bring into that chapter.

So I keep synthesizing things down so that once you get to the writing, you know, I only want to talk about those particular research points.

Yeah, I did that for my PhD.

My first novel is a historical novel and I used Scrivener too, so invaluable for saving things and for creating all of those things.

And then for me, I struggled with the story because it was the first time I was writing it.

I tried Scrivener, which I know many writers swear by.

And I was so trained to, and at this point, just think with footnotes.

And it doesn't footnote very well.

I've got a one-off fee as well.

Scrivener's great.
