Welcome back to the Natural History Cupboard podcast, the place where the weird and wonderful parts of the natural world come together.

I'm your host Gareth, and as you can see, this week we are out and about again, and we're at Fremington Quay, which is a wonderful spot on the end of the River Tor, just before it disappears out towards the sea and joins Biddeford Bay.

A wonderful spot for bird watching.

There's all sorts of different species you might see here from eider ducks to spoonbills and glossy ibis.

There has even been reports of white stork and even osprey down here.

So a really interesting place to look.

If you know what you're looking for as well, might see feral pigeons fly past as well.

If you know what you're looking for as well, you might even be able to find some fossils in some of the rocks down here.

So a really interesting spot.

of both historical and, well, ornithological significance.
