Just to show, because there's so many diseases and health care, and look how quickly COVID, I think COVID is a direct result of some AI research for our DNA.
So one of the things your listeners might be interested in is on our website, URC, M I C H.org. Um, we have all four of those areas profiled.
You can go to industry profiles and what it'll give you is a snapshot of how we define that space and what the unique contributions are of our institutions in that space that are important to Michigan and are important to industries.
But one of the things, you know, they're, they will emphasize is that, AI is going to change.
I think you're absolutely right, Ed, and knowing you for many years, that's why you're interested in it is the potential impact this will have on our daily lives and our work lives.
It is probably going to be as impactful as the Internet and how it changes how we work and live and the things that we could accomplish as a society in using it for research and other purposes.
And I think, you know, what's interesting about AI, too, and our institutions in particular, is they are really focused on making sure that whatever they're developing and how we're using it is done in a way that is responsible.
We have programs at each of our institutions already that are working with students and working with staff in how to responsibly use AI to make life easier.
I have an opinion about AI and how it will shape because our position is it is not so much going to eliminate jobs as it is going to change the way in which we do our jobs.
