I was his first doctoral student, and at the time he had just moved to University of Connecticut.

So I spent one year with him there, and then he moved to Penn State, and I, I went with him 'cause he was the person I wanted to work with.

And during my time there, um, you know, I, I forget what the exact in- initial event was, but the interest in overtraining came from my own experience.

My sport, um, in high school and college, my primary sport was, um, was wrestling.

Very cool.

I mean, listen, you, the two of you, I mean, you're that, those are awesome responses, you know, how, When I asked them that question about are they competing with you guys, in a way, what's your response? How do you see that?

I would say we're competing on the same level because me and you, we're both here at Penn State.

We both want to get good internships, get a good job.

So in that sense, I would say we're at the same level.

That's the nature of it.

Because...

Bro, he's... you everybody you went to school with everybody you went to school with they all have the connections they're like it's like you come out of Penn State with a finance degree okay you're like oh I went to Penn State with a finance degree but you're competing with who Harvard Princeton UPenn, it's like you're competing.

It's a different world.

Shout out to the Burgh.

And when I was learning f- w- a number of us when we fled from Penn State and everything that was happening there, we, we took refuge in, in the Black community in Pittsburgh, and I will forever be grateful to that city for the, the recovery that we were able to receive when we lived there.

But one of the things I learned a lot about, and this is something that was really my uncles would talk, talk to me about this when I was younger, is that we as humans, as human beings, we have upper level energy and lower level energy.

And your upper level energy is your goodness, your righteousness, your integrity, your desire to, to be a good, upstanding human being, your, your, your faithfulness, your, your willingness to live in accordance with the laws of Ma'at.

How? That's the question when we come forward for Errol Henderson on Tavis.

With Penn State International Relations, Professor Errol Henderson invited him on because we've had a number of voices this week giving their own reflections and perspectives on 9-11 25 years later.

My way is not to commemorate one day and move on.

I believe these anniversaries are an opportunity if we accept it, an invitation, frankly.

And I'll ask Jim his take on this march by progressives after decades of being in the wilderness.

Okay, this game was completely different than that.

The Penn State, the Penn State game, the goal line stand.

How many of those goal line stands were in his head, thinking he had the same guys out there?

True.

I think you have to have single coverage on a few wide receivers and send at least five total at Jared Curtis and try to get him down, get him – out of sync, especially if you get into some longer, you know, third and seven, third and eight type situations.

It's the same thing we said about Bo Pravula in the season opener, but this is a much different quarterback where you're facing a guy that had been through the fires, had been at Penn State, had been at, you know, Mizzou last year going into it, was a veteran.

This is a guy that, you know, the number two overall player in last year's class in Jared Curtis, But he's somebody that is very, very new to this collegiate game and has not, to this point, seen the speed that NC State has a chance to throw at him.

So if you're right now DJ Elliott, I'm going, all right, we're going to have to send the house a couple times and see if he's going to be able to throw out of that.

I've had my kids threatened.

I've had pictures sent to me of where your kids go to school, not necessarily due to a gambling loss, but due to taking the controversial stance against child rape on the campus of Penn State.

Yeah, I think your perspective is pretty interesting, dude, because you've been on both ends of it.

As far as being on the wrong end of it? Still am.

That seems outrageously false.

Yeah, and, and all I can speak to is what I know, and I, I've covered college sports now for over a decade, from teams like Penn State, uh, University of Florida, um, and the three schools here, um, UNC, NC State, Duke.

And, uh, like, well, Florida certainly had their scandals when I was there.

You know, stuff, crazy stuff happens in college.
