With Hartmuth also becoming the first woman ever to land on the overall podium with her third place finish.
Hartmoth won the women's race in 67 hours, 10 minutes, and 9 seconds, which is a long damn time to be out on course.
Beating her own previous course record that she set in 2024 by almost 12 hours.
This race, from everything I've heard about it, it's like the weather really determines how fast people are going to be going on race day.
And I believe they got good conditions this race and clearly she's, and like 2024 was actually a pretty shocking in terms of weather.
So this really shows like what some good clean air can do, um, for these athletes.
Uh, Zao won the men's race in 65 hours, 55 minutes and 22 seconds, beating the previous course record set by Belgium's Victor Richard in 2025 by 13 minutes.
Previously to Hartmuth's massive 12 hour slashing of her course record, this was one of the ultra marathons that had the biggest discrepancy in men's course record to women's course record.
