Yeah, so I picked up a game that just released, I think this week, last week, something like that, called Welcome to Elderfield.
Oh, I want to play that very badly.
Yeah, it is pretty sweet.
This is kind of considering continuing the long history of people using... rpg maker to make genres that aren't exactly rpgs yeah so in this case um they have used rpg maker to basically make a harvest moon style game however um the kind of the twist is that this takes place uh basically in like legally distinct Night Vale.
Uh, so, you know, just tons of, uh, you know, Lovecraftian horrors and cultists running around, um, you know, that sort of thing.
They even have like a, uh, one of the kind of collectibles is short little, like, I don't know, three to five minute episodes of kind of basically like a nightmare style, uh, radio, uh, program.
Um, and yeah, it's really neat.
Um, it's, One thing I wasn't quite expecting going into it is...
While it definitely is a game that's about...
You know, kind of solving these mysteries.
You know, figuring out what's going on with various things around the town.
That sort of thing.
It is very overtly...
Weird shit happening is not one of the mysteries.
Like...
The person who...
You know, there's always in these games, there has to be some explanation of how you suddenly just come into owning a farm.
And in this case, the previous owner was a... was getting old and decided that you know uh in order to kind of rejuvenate uh he was going to just remove all his skin and become a skeleton but without the uh skin to you know uh contain it he his bones just kept getting bigger and bigger until he was you know too big to get outside out of his house so
looking
Yep, yep.
And that is completely par for the course.
They've got a silly thing where they've basically got the city as an inverse mall.
So, like, it's strongly implied that the mall was there before the town.
