This is a reposted episode that I recorded back in 2021, and the reason I'm reposting it is because I'm writing a story for Patagonia.

Um, they have a new magazine called the roaring journals, which you can get, I believe that most of their outlets and they asked me to write a story on big wave surfing and, and lo and behold, I've had a podcast for like a million years where I've interviewed a lot of the best big wave surfers in the world.

So I've had a chance just recently to go back through a lot of my earlier episodes and, uh, yeah, gain perspective for this new story that I'm writing.

This article will probably be out in a A couple other things that I've been doing writing-wise is the most recent Surfer's Journal that's on stands now with the cover of Tosh Tudor in a big barrel at Shopu has a long-form article that I wrote on Puerto Escondido.

They're like the New Yorker of surfing and one of the last remaining surf magazines.

So it's competitive to be a writer in there, and I felt very good about having that article come out.

So next time you're in a Whole Foods or a surf shop or something like that, pick up a surfer's journal and check out the article that I wrote, which is called The Lightning That Brings the Rain.

I will leave a link to that in the show notes below, as well as one final one.

Isn't that crazy that we have the Roaring Journal, the Surfer's Journal, and the Adventure Journal where I wrote a story about this surf trip I took up to Canada.

As much as everyone says that print is dead and you should just go start your own online blog, I don't believe it.
