Like, there, there was, like, the former jazz singer, 80 years old, who was, like, obsessed with the bells, like would not shut up about the bells.

Well, on day one when we arrived, we could talk, and she was like, "Can we get wake-up bells at 7:00 AM?" [laughs] And then, and then-

There was a half hour of Q&A every day, and we were allowed to speak then, and then she was like, "I just would like to say, I asked for bells, and I got bells."

We're like, "Okay." [laughs] And on the last day she thanked everybody for the bells.

I g- every single person had something funny, but I, we don't have enough time for that.

It was actually a bit hard at first knowing that everybody there was very interesting because when you can't talk to anybody, you just have to sit there wondering how everybody got there, and, like, what is their story and what are they wrestling with? And everybody's just sitting in silence, and you can't find out.

So, like, I'll see somebody, a- and not just in the wild, obviously I would never do this, but if I'm at a group thing and I see somebody with a crazy tattoo, I'm like, "Hey, dude, none of my business, but we're gonna be together for six days.

What's up with that tattoo? That thing is crazy." And they're like, "Oh, yeah, I actually got that in a concentration camp in Bosnia when I was a kid." And you're like, "Oh, I need to hear all about this, but also that sounds traumatizing, and I probably shouldn't ask any more questions." But yeah, I couldn't just be like, "What is that? Why do you have this set of dots that's seemingly meaningless on your hand?" or whatever.

And there were people there who had amazing tattoos, and I would be sitting there and being like, "Oh, I really wanna ask her what that is."
