The Unstoppable Acts | The Coronation of King Jesus - Pastor Matt Baker - 6-21-26

And we're calling it that because the church, the true church of Jesus Christ throughout history since Christ started it has been unstoppable.

And some of us kind of go, wait, Matt, I've been around longer than you, 40, 50, 60 years, however many years longer, 20 years.

And I don't know if you know what's going on in our culture today, but we used to be a lot more Christian than we are now.

And so some of us get a little doom and gloomy about the future of the church and the kingdom of God.

I want to encourage you.

Be positive.

Don't zoom too much in to the last 30, 40, 50 years.

Zoom out and look at what God has been doing throughout the ages.

Jesus Christ ministered for three and a half years.

He took 11 disciples and one dud named Judas.

And he turned that into 72.

And then he turned 72 into 150 in the upper room praying in Acts 2.

And that 150 has blossomed to 2.3 billion Christians around the earth.

Alive today.

How many more Christians have gone to sleep in Christ since then? I'm telling you, the kingdom of God being expanded through the local church has not stopped accelerating and expanding.

Sometimes we just look at, oh man, it's been bad for 20, 30, 40, 50 years.

We're a post-Christian society.

We're getting away from things.

Do you know that I believe that we are at a turning point? Church attendance is up nationwide.

Bible cells are up nationwide.

People are returning to the things of God, faith in God, and also common sense.

Things are turning around.

Your pessimism isn't helping anyone.

The kingdom of God is advancing just as Christ said it would.

And it will continue to advance until the day the trumpet sounds and he returns.
