Hour 1: What If I Told You?

Bill Barnwell going to stop by and help us look back at Week 7 in the NFL.

And then there was one.

Dad, what if I told you? ESPN 30 for 30 voice.

that the state of Minnesota was the center of the known universe right now when it came to sports.

The Vikings are the last undefeated in the NFL.

The Minnesota Gophers football team has not won, not two, but three rivalry trophies in tow for P.J. Fleck and Company, and the Timberwolves are off to a 3-0 start right now.

Who's got it better than them? Nobody.

Nobody.

What if I told

you? Yep.

Absolutely nobody.

And let me tell you what else when you say nobody.

Nobody had on their bingo card that Minnesota would be the last undefeated team in the NFL as we saw the second to last one go.

I'm here at 710 Seattle Sports.

after the game last night, Seattle and Kansas City, where Kansas City just got the chokehold put on them by the Seattle defense to knock them out of the ranks of the unbeaten.

And Minnesota certainly struggled a little bit, but for them, again, the defense comes through.

I'm very happy.

As a former defensive player, Mike, even you can't deny it.

Even you cannot deny the fact that the defense is carrying the better teams in this league right now.

Yeah, I mean, again, I thought you were going to say with the Vikings.

I was like, that's obvious.

Brian Flores continues to blitz at historic rates, and they're carrying an offense that still right now doesn't look like it's gaining traction.

Every time I think, oh, they've turned the corner, oh, they're healthy enough in certain spots, they're relying on that defense and playing a brand of football that has a very minimal margin for error.

And skating by against this year's Indianapolis Colts, not the greatest ringing endorsement for the team, but as you mentioned, defense still wins the day.

And it is interesting with two of the best defenses in the league, Minnesota and Seattle.
