point on that's awesome you know it's uh that turkey course is something that i believe they should bring back into ontario uh i i took it as well i've been turkey hunting now around 20 well almost 20 years i took that course in 2007 um yeah and uh you know the stuff you learn in the course and obviously it was probably a just the safety aspects of it and you know the the being able to identify toms from jakes from hens and and all the different things that you learn and i remember hearing back then that like the the success rate for turkey hunting was less than one in four people would get a turkey like you know less than 25 percent and you know and obviously i think that uh that's gone up a little bit over the years but it is still not a guarantee right

uh no no not at all and uh What I find is one year you seem to have birds all over the place in the areas you're allowed to hunt and the next year you go to them same places and there just don't seem to be birds in them places.

And so what would be some of those things that you would think? Like, I know I have my opinions, but let's hear what you have to say.

oh well um turkeys follow food i'll tell you turkeys love to eat and uh um you know here's the the funny thing is uh if you've got a field uh you know agricultural that the birds are feeding in that field all the time well uh the thing with farmers is is every year the crops change over and they go from one crop to the next crop to the next crop And, you know, some crops turkeys love.

They might go, you know, a few miles, in fact, to different areas to find that feed that they're looking for.
