NFL Week 1 Preview + Sam Darnold & A.J. Brown Injuries

As, Marty, we have ourselves an NFL game to react to, man.

Wednesday night, opening night in my old neck of the woods, the Pacific Northwest.

The Seattle Seahawks, your defending Super Bowl champions, beat the New England Patriots 13 to 10.

Sloppy game, but an interesting game as we got a very compelling finish.

I'll let you take us off where you wanna go because the swings either from an emotional standpoint-

[laughs]

... or a betting standpoint, it was all there.

Drake May, disastrous fourth quarter.

Ah.

There's a number of different directions that we could go with this one.

Femi, what a rollercoaster ride, and [laughs] you know, we were talking before the show, but I worked in the NFL for over 30 years, so I didn't bet.

I didn't bet games or, or anything.

Mm-hmm.

And last year I st- I, you know, when I was out completely and I, I, I started dabbling a little bit.

And so this year, um, I started last night and I have decided I am going to rehash, just like a game, I'm gonna go back and look at the tape and see where I went wrong.

[laughs]

Well, I couldn't have analyzed this game worse if, if, if I had done it a year ahead of time.

[laughs]

I missed completely on my analysis of this game.

I said the Seahawks lines were gonna dominate.

They did not for three quarters.

And, um, you know, uh, then, then Sam Darnold gets hurt on the fifth play and I'm saying, "Oh my gosh, what do I [laughs] have to do here?"

[laughs]

He gets hurt.

Drew Lock comes in.
