Jun 13, 2026 · 52 min · 14 segments
Our final episode discussing Beatles songs that we haven't previously discussed!! We discuss all the Beatles singles between 1965 and 1970 and very much struggle to figure out what our own top 3s!…
Well, Past Masters, I ran through this last time, but I'll just run through it again in case you've forgotten or are interested and for some reason haven't listened to our Volume 1 episode.
It was produced by George Martin, compiled by Mark Lewison, released on Parlophone, Capital, and Apple Records as it was released internationally.
with the cd box set that basically has determined what the canon beatles studio albums are like that box set included magical mystery tour it included yellow submarine
and yeah some people do include
you know i understand but also it's not an album so when we do our ranking episode which is our next one by the way
I mean, to be fair, given we do tend to chuck Magical Mystery Tour in there as an album, and Yellow Submarine, I do think it's kind of arbitrary to a degree.
But like, who cares?
Yeah, I mean, we won't be including this next episode because, you know, it's kind of hard to compare...
I wouldn't for Magical Mystery Tour because I do still think it flows like an album, as we discussed in that episode.
Yeah.
But, you know, I think that, yeah, this is almost impossible to compare amongst their core catalogue.
But I don't know.
Maybe we could, like, discuss at the end, like, where we would theoretically put it if we included it.
Maybe.
That'd be impossible.
It would be.
But, you know, maybe we could do it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, we'll look into it.
And maybe separate it into where we'd put Volume 1 and where we'd put Volume 2, maybe, to make it a bit easier.
