Well, first, when you said Julian Lennon, and I'm thinking John Lennon, and like that's already boom there.

And then you're like David Bowie showing up.

But Laughing Sam's Dice.

I don't think Julian Lennon did a painting called Laughing Sam's Dice or any other friend of Jimi Hendrix in 1967.

The A-side was a song called Burning of the Midnight Lamp, which was not a single in America, which makes it even less likely you would know that B-side.

It was the fourth single for the Hendrix Experience over in the UK, and it was a hit.

I can't believe we forgot this one because it was teased all week.

Julian Lennon made a slip saying, oh, I went to see my sister Mary or something and then also saw my brother Sean's new child and then it was pulled and disappeared.

And then all of a sudden...

There's Sean Lennon posts a photo of he and Charlotte Mall, I believe her name is, with their new baby named Aurelius.

And I and a few other people that's really close to me.

And so that's basically how we did.

We, you know, met him before, I think it was two days before the concert.

I mean, being the fact that he knew other people that I knew, I thought he was OK.

You know, all I was going to do was say goodbye, basically.

And we'll see you later because tomorrow I'm going to come back and go shopping with one of his friends in the band that I knew through Julian Lennon.

And so we were going to go out and I was going to show him around Dallas, you know, not that they don't know Dallas because they've all been to Dallas numerous times.

To be fair, he's the success is so...

I mean, we were rock stars.

We'd go, Julian Lennon, I remember we interviewed him.

The crowd was huge.

They were hanging off every word Jess said.

And it was Julian Lennon, for goodness sake.

I mean, that's the type of stars that we had coming through the place.

We had everyone, everyone that was in town to promote a TV show or movie.

And now there's another generation of the Lennon family.

For anyone wondering, Julian Lennon has never had children, which is obviously why this is John Lennon's first grandchild.

And having John Lennon as your grandfather certainly comes with a family name, carrying an extraordinary amount of history.

There is something remarkable about the passage of time here.

Although in the end, John liked a couple of photos that he wanted to use.

And Julian used one of the photos I took back then for his last album, Jude.

So that picture's there.

All the photos that are there are limited prints that are up for sale.

was your aim for each picture? What were you trying to show in the pictures?

I was looking for their expression.

I was looking for something that, you know, one of Julian's, for instance, because it's the cover, right? And he's looking off in the distance.

And you could see the mood.

I think there was a universality to the Beatles' music.

Some of their songs began in personal terms, like Hey Jude was originally about Julian Lennon.

At a very early stage, those songs expanded and became universal.

I think part of it was perhaps conscious, and I think the Beatles made a conscious effort not to be too specific about in their songs.

By the way, the phenomenon is nothing new, either on the executive side, where it is also prominently represented at one of the major music groups, maybe two, depending on how you're counting.

That list is way too long to recite here, and certainly Julian Lennon, Jacob Dylan, Two Strokes, and even John Hammond Jr. weren't hurt by their family ties.

Still, lately it's looking like Nepo is a prerequisite rather than a bit of extra spice.

I have to admit it's a tad disheartening when seemingly every time a young artist ends up getting a spotlight in what's left of the music press, a quick Google or chat query seems to bring up a famous parent.
