Dynasty Fantasy Football Heartbeat Battles 2026: Purdy vs Nix, Wilson vs Olave! Struggling with back-to-back players in your 2026 dynasty startups? Grindberg (@FFCanuck99), Schultzy (@Schu1tzy), and…
And, uh, let's start with your first guy here, Schultzy, your first match-up, and, uh, I'm gonna break this down here.
So these two quarterbacks are back to back in ADP.
We got Brock Purdy, age 26, turning 27, played through injuries in 2025, but delivered 2,100 yards, 20 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions in just nine starts, plus added a little bit on the ground too, 147 yards on the ground with three scores.
With Mike Evans now in town and a strong supporting cast, he's proven he can run a high-powered offense as a steady game manager with QB1 spikes.
But on the flip side, we got Bo Nix, age 25, turning 26, so pretty close in age here.
3,900 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, 11 interceptions on a league-high, 612 attempts, plus 356 yards on the ground and five scores.
He profiles as a dual-threat riser with massive volume floor and plenty of room to grow.
So in Dynasty right now, are you taking the proven winner in Purdy or investing in the ascending young dual-threat in Nix? Who are you building your super flex around long-term?
Man, these, these face-off rankings we do are so fun because, uh, you obviously are picking guys right next to each other for a reason, and as a result, like, these are hard choices, right? I...
This...
I don't know if there's a super wrong answer here.
So when you gotta break it down, you, you're looking at dudes, two guys who are...
We, we like the offense, right? We like the ecosystem.
That's a huge plus for both of them.
Um, we've gotten proven production in the past out of both of these guys.
We've got age pretty similar.
Uh, there's a lot going on here that I, I think it's kind of a pick your dude kind of battle.
Uh, but for me, I, I just love the steady Eddie that, uh, Brock Purdy brings.
And when I'm drafting one of these guys, I've likely loaded up on other positions early and I'm, I'm backing off at QB a little bit.
I want that safety I know I'm getting out of Brock Purdy.
He offers the same upside, I believe, that Bo Nix is gonna give you, but the floor is substantially higher.
Bo Nix last season, I know he was QB7 both years, but he scored, like, 40% of his points in four games last year.
So he's got these blow-up games that kind of inflate the rest of the season.
You're gonna get some 10-point games out of him.
