This Duo Looks Unstoppable

yeah it's exciting right i think it's a it's a lot of fun um i think as a lifelong wolves fan and anytime you you get this type of excitement right like you get this energy you get this kind of like i would use the word aura around you know lamello ball a guy that kind of he just has this infectious energy about himself whether that's like in the locker room making jokes or in this case we got to see him on the court and I remember one play, I think he didn't get the outlet.

Somebody else got the outlet.

He was like doing high knees up the middle of the court.

He's like, I want to run.

I want to go.

So it's just like that type of energy is good.

It's positive.

Like, I know what we will go on to talk about, like what, what we maybe need to see a little bit more of.

And I think there's definitely enough of that to talk about, especially in the front court, but, but from a backcourt perspective, like not only, you know, the mellow ball, but there's so much depth.

Like, I think it's a very unique thing in the NBA when you're able to sub in the 6, 7, 8, 9 guy and they still play the same style and brand of basketball.

And I think that's something that this Wolves team, it's going to be really advantageous to this Wolves team because they can push the pace 1 through 9 probably.

Like maybe Trey Lyles is the only guy that we kind of saw in those first two games that... doesn't love to push the pace but I mean you mentioned it dunk like the excitement between you know lamello and ant I think it's going to be so fun and I think we forget how great of a three-point shooter lamello is right like he is an elite three-point shooter so it's going to be really hard to guard those guys in the gaps if you don't close out tight and they're going to be able to make threes and then when you close out tight like I've been saying this for years I think Anthony Edwards has the greatest first step in the history of the nba maybe michael jordan rivals his first step so it's just going to be really hard to guard those guys in the two-man game so yes i'm excited um but but like i said like one through nine i think i'm excited for everybody because it's going to be a different style of of tempo and pace and i'm really looking forward to uh getting this thing under our belts and getting the season started

Tim, thoughts on the Lomelo and Ant start and what you've been seeing so

far? Yes, sir.

I mean, Parker did.

I agree with everything Parker just said.

When we first made the move, somebody I look back on was actually D'Angelo Russell.

Obviously different players, but similar.

And

the really fun part is when you look back at that game.

it was year two, year two or three, uh, of Anthony Edwards.

He is so much less polished.

The footwork isn't quite there.

Uh, I mean, the athleticism, the burst, everything that you see now is there, but the refined aspect of his game just wasn't, uh, but it was so evident how much D'Angelo Russell just allowed aunt to be, uh, aunt was never dealing with those double teams, which is why when, you know, cat was hurt and it was all of a sudden aunt, uh, the first year of Rudy Gobert, it was kind of a wake-up call for him.

And he's been progressing through that since that point in time.
