First is from the Hacker News, Robbie Lakshmanan reporting, Dutch police arrest 25-year-old Amsterdam man in shiny hunter's investigation.
Now, this particular article is somewhat misleading because it makes it sound like he was arrested because of the shiny hunter's attack on the FBIjobs.gov site.
And apparently that didn't stick because here he is again, still working with shiny hunters and one of their leadership roles.
But at least this is kind of how this is how, how this works in the cyber world is that, you find those police entities that have the resources within their areas and the authorities to do what they need to do.
They were able to sign or, um, able to track this gentleman to Amsterdam and, the Dutch police were able to arrest him.
Uh, will he be extradited back to the U S for the stuff on the FBI? Who knows? Probably not.
Um, they have a funky rules, um, when it comes to this kind of thing in the Netherlands, but, uh, You know, hey, at least it's from the good news file.
But again, he was arrested before, three years ago, and he was still out doing other stuff.
