Hey, you guys want the free night on the slopes? You got to come in and talk about the condos because I'm here to educate two fuckers.

For many going away to college is one of the truly pivotal experiences in early adulthood, as it often represents one's first true taste of independence, at least socially, if not financially, wherein just a hand with just a handful of roommates.

A bunch of classmates and a potential cavalcade of new friends, a late teen figures out how to simultaneously navigate the rigors of academia while somehow managing to keep their head above water in the fast, thrilling, and often tumultuous whitewater rapids of the campus social scene.

A scene filled with freshly minted quote-unquote adults riding high on autonomy, semi-private spaces, and ribald revelry with, at least in my day, the ever-ready warning socks primed for the door handle.

All the while rushing to class, passing pop quizzes, writing paper after paper, and preparing your future self for whichever career choice you'd settled on by the time you were 17, which is in and of itself a hilarious conceit.
