And I, you know, one of the questions that I ask, um, audiences or leaders, uh, out of the gate is this, is, is where in your life are you working harder than you should have to because trust is thin or broken? I ask that question, where in your life or your work, by the way, are you working harder than you should have to because trust is thin or broken? And what's been...
what's powerful about that is that we don't answer that question with a leadership theory or some, you know, pithy quote from social media.
We answer it, most of us answer that question with a face, um, with a, with a boss.
And one of the things that I, I've seen this over and over again, and I've experienced myself personally, is that the har- the hardest moments of trust, um, when, when they grow and they start to get bigger, can honestly feel like we're bleeding out emotionally as leaders.
Um, and I know that's harsh language, but I think it's what it oftentimes feels like.
And I, and I, I think I ask this question, like, what if we could decrease the trust bleed? And, um, and so this, this book, and one of my deeper purposes behind it is that you realize that all of the efforts we've done to change cultures and to develop leaders, 'cause that's been my, my story around that, um, have all centered and, and landed on a foundation of trust.
