crazy like you said so like with all the offer sheets that came about it and just completely resetting like the salary cap world the players association probably the best summer in their history probably since it's been established like just so many contracts that like are so like now we have to really kind of get used to some of the numbers that we were seeing it started a little bit and we kind of touched on in our last episode which was like literally three months ago when uh bull bull byram got the like 12 and a half million extension with the blackhawks that was kind of like whoa like what what's this about and then A couple weeks after that, again, we didn't really talk about this all summer, but we'll be sure to be uploading a lot more during the season, is the Leo Carlson Odyssey, which obviously kick-started the whole craziness of the summer.

Obviously, there was also a pretty busy free agency period as well, especially with the Leafs that we'll kind of touch on a little bit.

But just lots of change in the new NHL now with this salary cap going up year over year.

Five-year offer from Philadelphia, $18 million a season, which Carlson signed an Anaheim match, which completely, in my opinion, changed the whole trajectory of that franchise.

One of them affected my team, the Montreal Canadiens, and what they had to do with Chris Prider.

They ended up doing that last week, I think five years as well, $13.5 million, which is actually a little bit less than I thought he was going to get.
