uh so uh next up we're going to um they're planning to come to my Jones family reunion this summer and get get a lot of voices from that the whole Jones clan uh so it'll be ah this is very very humbling and exposing and and I feel so unworthy um and They did.

I'm very proud of the production team.

They were able to pull financing together to make it this far without going to crowdfunding.

But then they finally did have to pull the trigger on a crowdfunding campaign, which is Kickstarter, to finish the film.

So they got this far and it's like, oh, we really want to finish it.

So with post-production costs and with um film festival costs too when they want to submit this to film festivals every submission costs and you may not get that you don't get that that submission feedback even if they say no to your film so uh there's a lot of expense yet to come and so they started a kickstarter campaign and which i was kind of like oh crowdfunding always gives me like a little bit of heebie-jeebie uh you know a I don't want anyone to think that it's me asking for money.

I'm not.

Oh, for

sure.

Yeah.

This is the production and it's up to them, whatever.

They're the ones making the film.

I've been skidding my ankles into the ground the entire way.

But what I did offer to the Kickstarter campaign was a lot of personal items from my own collection.

Yeah, I was going through that and you're giving a lot of yourself to people that contribute, which I think is probably the greatest gift uh yeah it's very true like you know that you could give to a fan uh to connect with you in a way outside of this medium in an interview style that they probably would never get which i think is the thing i find interesting about those when people do do them so that's very yeah

well thank you thank you for that yeah i even i've been going through My piles of things in my home office and I found a whole ton of scripts from Star Trek Discovery and What We Do in the Shadows that I've been able to sign and put into the Kickstarter campaign as rewards.

Also a couple of prosthetic pieces that I've worn or have been made for me and not worn yet.

And another one of a kind piece was my Saru boots from Star Trek Discovery.

My character Saru was a Kelpien and Kelpien's have hoof feet.

So these boots were made for me with the high heel position with no heel behind it.

So it looks like you're walking around on little, you know, like you're an antelope or a cow walking around on hooves.

Well, those boots, they had to design them specially for me.

And so they made a prototype pair out of light blue neoprene like material just to see if I could wear them, walk around in them and practice in them.

And so that pair of boots became then they made the real ones after we found out that it worked.

So that pair of blue neoprene boots is only one of them in the world.
