The Burnham thing is annoying.

I think there's a little bit of, they're trying to play off that Saru's captain and he's trying to figure out, you know, he's telling himself, well, as a captain, you have to make difficult decisions.

So he's kind of ploughing through this like he's basically ignoring what's happening because he just has to get the mission done and it's kind of like i think one thing i don't know if it's intentional but one thing i kind of give discovery a tiny little bit credit for is that the difference between original series and next gen is like original series feels a wee bit more wild west a bit more like rough and ready and it's just because it's made in the 60s it's not made any major obviously it's based on all that sort of stuff but like i feel like discovery has a bit of that rough around the edges thing going on but yeah i don't know how intentional that is but like the whole like saru doesn't really know what he's doing and what i find quite funny what i was thinking about this episode that was quite funny is like it begins this tradition of in discovery of putting people in charge of the ship that don't fucking know what they're doing it's like i'll put one of my pals in charge Because there's nobody else.

The Klingons have likely learnt of Discovery's jumping powers and has targeted this abduction to try to find out what's going on, they assume.

They assume that's

what's happened.

So Saru is ordered to find Lorca.
