This week I am chatting with the lovely Liana De la Rosa! She's an Arizona native, historical romance author who has a brand new contemporary release that is chef's kiss. It's friends to lovers…
Liana De La RosaGuestTatyanaHostI love that.
Yeah, you did such a fabulous job, and like for me it was so different than reading, you know, your historical because like you said, you're getting a lot of yearning from like both sides, and then with this one you're just getting her, and she's like kind of a- as we could say, like a bit of an unreliable narrator because it's all-
... just like inside her own head.
And I think-
... you did a great job of creating like the slow burn and the friends to lovers, which like I, I love a friends to lovers story, so I was really excited for that part.
And you know, I was like, okay, how, how did you come up with this storyline and like what was it like, yeah, writing the, the love triangle of it all?

And it, literally me writing it was, what is the messiest thing that Sophia could do right now?
Yep.

And sometimes, sometimes I decided, that might be too messy, and I like dialed it back.

But other times I was like, eh- She has to do something down there [laughs] herself
Yeah, and she, like, you know, as ag- again, not to spoil too much, but, like, you know, she is sort of a, a reserved character, and it does feel a little bit out of character for her to, like, take these big risks and do this thing where-
... she becomes a content creator.
And, you know, so much of it she keeps so close to the chest.
And so it's like their chemistry is incredible because that's a world all her own.
And then when she's meeting him in real life, it's like, it's, it's sort of realizing how real it is-
... and, like, the empire that she's created within, you know, her, her social media platforms, which is really cool.
Mm-hmm
I love that.
