The NBA regular season is right around the corner as Celtics training camp is set to kick off this week. On this week's show, Sherrod Blakely and Gary Washburn preview the Boston Celtics' coming up…
Yeah, I mean, I guess for me, the thing that I like most about Media Day, and I think the biggest takeaway for me is just seeing where these guys are at when there's no game that they're specifically preparing for.
I mean, when you have Media Day, it ain't about how much minutes you're going to play.

uh where you know that like that you know the two rookies that they drafted you know they get to know them a little bit better as you mentioned mitchell robinson that's a guy that you know we've seen we saw we've seen a lot of him you know while he's been in new york but none of us really really know him because he's always been on the opposition he's always been on the other team but now he's a celtic uh and we've yet to hear from him so certainly what he has to say uh will be uh significant and important and to your point gary i i do think about the fact that it's been uh five month window since we've actually been involved with these guys in a natural game.
I've only had like two seasons like that where, you know, the one you mentioned here in Boston, you know, Marcus Smart draft year when they didn't make the playoffs.
And when the offseason came about, I'm just like, okay, this is kind of cool.
And then they started winning, and it's like, damn, what happened to the offseason? There really ain't no offseason.
How do you feel about having that much time off? I mean, this is as much time as you've probably had since you've been in Boston.
Was it a good thing? Was it a bad thing? I mean, what was that like for you?
I think covering the Celtics, you know that you're going to play – the team you cover is going to play deep into May and maybe even into June.
And it was just such a – because when you see a team and they – In 25, the Knicks were the better team in that series, even before Jason's injury.
